Yue Hu (Ray) Part 1-American Dream is a propaganda

       In my opinion, American Dream was an ideal for all American to work hard for. However, now it is more likely to be a propaganda from the government to trick the common American to work hard which could make them even poor. It is easily for most people to get freedom in America, while it means more and more people desire gold much and that’s may become the only desire. On the other hand, American Dream can focus on freedom and equality for all time, however, it is a cruel fact that most freedom and equality need to be changed by money today. Thus, once more and more people only dream to be rich, the American dream changed. In most people’s mind, American Dream requires them to become better gradually. However, the ideal could not be achieved when you become better once, twice, or even for hundreds of times, they will always ask for more, more money, more gold all the time. I think the example of monoplay in the video revealed that, it is

the rich people who get more opportunity in the next trade, in any condition. It could be a very good example, just like the government propagate the American Dream to make the players do not quit the game, while the poor player maybe nervous and confused which make them lose with the extremely low opportunity. It is the rich who get gold and become richer both in monopoly and real market.
