In my opinion, American dream is a way to make people pay too much emphasis on money. Everyone wants to become rich and attract more people’s attention, but become rich and well-known is not simple. Basically you have working hard to achieve the goal, this is the essence of the American dream at first, nonetheless it is not fair for everyone to achieve success. Nowadays, the American dream has completely changed and become just focus on the wealth. In Park Avenue, there is an experiment shows that a richer player can win the game easier than those poor person, and the rich one will become ruthless to the poor. The reason lead to this result is that the rich person payed too much emphasis on money, they just care about how much wealth they can acquire. Ambition is infinite, when the person gained the benefits because of rich, they want to be more wealthy. In Park Avenue, those rich person always “rigging the game”, the game represent politics and it means the rich people can utilize the government for earning more money. The rich person prefers to give money to the government rather than the poor, because the government can bring them more benefits. It shows the American dream make people pay too much emphasis on money.
