American Dream is washed away as a garbage
The Unequal Education Opportunity
In my opinion, American Dream is a myth that based on poor people’s idealism, which inspired the poor people to strive for happiness , but the poor never easily obtain it. The reason why American Dream is a myth is that poor people can not get equal education opportunity for being wealthy.The high level education offers excellent human resources and cultivates high skill talents. Objectively, people can easily find a job due to these advantages because they will be more competitive than the others who are unskilled and do not have connections. Therefore, people who are in high level of education are able to be wealthy. Being wealthy is the first priority of American Dream because money leads to happiness directly. The majority of poor people who are struggled with material life can not be happy before their basic needs are satisfied, such as food and water. However, as the documentary ‘Park Avenue’ shows, people came to the world randomly and a lot of people born in poor family. Their family background have already determined that they are unable to afford the high expense in university and master’s program,etc. Therefore, American Dream is fake because poor people are still poor and they can not get the same education opportunity as the rich to change their fate.
